Hello, I’m Yuni

A Korean writer, storyteller, and the person behind Alcove.

I write about travel, culture, identity, relationships, and the search for a sense of belonging. I am especially interested in the small, easily overlooked moments that reveal something honest about who we are and how we relate to one another.

My experiences across different places and cultures taught me that people do not need to share the same language, background, or way of life to understand one another. Sometimes, a story, a sincere question, or an unhurried conversation is enough to bring us closer.

I created Alcove because I wanted a place where stories could live beyond the page.

A place where writing could open a conversation.

A place where people could pause before answering, listen without rushing to judge, and speak without having to present a perfect version of themselves.

Alcove began with my own stories, but it is not meant to remain only mine. I hope it grows into a welcoming space where different voices, cultures, and experiences can meet.
