  1. Space Manifesto

This we can put in the BELONG signup page, or as a welcome note at the top of your newsletter.

This is not a legal document or a set of restrictive rules for the sake of others; rather, it is a private pact users make with themselves to create breathing room for their own minds and souls. This is a [Space Manifesto] designed to guide users into a state of 'Intentional Stillness' from the very moment they enter Alcove. It ensures they can focus entirely on themselves and absorb 100% of the experience. -

INSIDE THE ALCOVE: A PACT WITH YOURSELF

"How to give your mind 100% of this space."

Welcome to Alcove. This is your sanctuary—a place to quiet the noise of the world and grow deep, unshakable roots within yourself. To make this time entirely your own, we invite you to make these three gentle promises to yourself the moment your screen lights up.

1. Disconnect to Reconnect (Log Out of Other Lives)

  • Silence the Comparison: Leave the curated feeds of social media, the rigid metrics of career status, and the frantic pace of the outside world at the door.

  • Embrace Your Own Rhythm: While you are here, dissolve the anxiety of "falling behind." Tune into nothing but your own breath, your own pace. It is only when you log out of other people’s lives that you truly reconnect with your own.

2. Unburden Your Mind (Release the Pressure of 'Productivity')

  • A Space Where Doing Nothing is Enough: We are constantly haunted by the compulsion to be productive. Here, you are entirely free to pause, stare blankly between lines of text, or simply sit with the silence during a coffee chat.

  • Let Go of Efficiency: Alcove is not a factory built to churn out rapid, useful results. Let your thoughts drift, watch them pass, and allow yourself to sink into the slow, beautiful process of giving your mind some space. Do not rush it.

3. Radical Self-Acceptance (Halt All Self-Judgment)

  • "Ah, that’s possible too—even for me": Be gentle with yourself first, just as you would extend an open heart to a stranger. When past regrets or unpolished moments surface, hold them softly and realize: in that specific context of my life, it could only have happened that way.

  • Leave the Doors of Your Mind Open: Do not suppress the rising fears or censor the raw, untamed emotions within you. Do not tell yourself, "I shouldn't be thinking this." When you unlock the gates and face your thoughts exactly as they are—with raw, unvarnished honesty—your true inner energy begins to replenish.

A Gentle Reminder: This space does not seek to change you. It simply holds room for your mind and soul, allowing you to gently rediscover the steady, beautiful center you have possessed all along.

Take a deep breath. You are now inside Alcove.

  1. Ground Rules (Alcove Coffee Chat)

"Hold space for yourself, and for others."

An Alcove Coffee Chat is neither a clinical therapy session nor mere casual small talk. It is a dedicated sanctuary designed to open up a safe, unhurried "space for thought" within your mind, your soul, and the lives of others. To preserve this safe zone and honor our diverse global community, every participant is absolutely required to respect and abide by the following rules.

1. Zero Tolerance Policy (Strictly Prohibited Behavior)

This is a place where we practice radical openness—quietly murmuring, "Ah, that’s possible too." If any of the following behaviors or language are detected, the Guide reserves the right to terminate the session immediately without prior warning.

  • A Judgmental Attitude: Prejudging another person’s lifestyle, career path, or personal struggles. Intervening with unsolicited lectures or imposing your own version of "the right answer" (e.g., saying "You're wrong," "That's not how it is," or "You shouldn't live like that") is strictly forbidden.

  • Intrusive Questions: Crossing boundaries with questions deemed deeply impolite by global cultural standards. Unless the other person volunteers the information, explicitly asking about age, marital status, dating history, income, religion, or political affiliation is prohibited.

  • Hate Speech & Slurs: Any language, remarks, or sweeping generalizations that demean individuals based on race, nationality, cultural background, gender, sexual orientation, or physical traits.

  • Interruption: Cutting someone off or rushing them while they are trying to untangle their thoughts in a foreign language or at a slower pace. Interrupting is a direct intrusion upon another person's mental space.

2. The Mindset We Embrace (Hold the Space)

  • Radical Acceptance: Even if a story contradicts your own worldview or cultural norms, lay down your judgment and listen deeply, realizing: "In that person’s specific context, that is completely possible."

  • Embrace the Pause: If thoughts need time to settle and a wave of silence washes over the conversation, do not feel compelled to fill it with empty noise. Trust the stillness. That silence is a beautiful process that grants breathing room to both yourself and the other person.

3. Account Bans & Restrictions (Protection of the Safe Zone)

Any user who disrupts the safety of Alcove will be permanently restricted from the platform to protect our community.

  • Instant Ban: In cases of sexual harassment, racist remarks, direct insults, or abusive language, the session will be terminated instantly, and the user's account will be permanently banned. (Strictly no refunds for any remaining session fees.)

  • Two-Strike Out: If a user is given an initial warning by the Guide for an intrusive question or a judgmental tone but fails to correct their behavior, the session will end immediately. The user will be permanently banned from participating in any future Alcove coffee chats or online challenges.

  • Unauthorized Recording & Leaking: Capturing screens, recording audio/video without explicit, mutual consent, or leaking conversation details to external platforms (such as social media) will result in an immediate permanent ban and potential legal action.

4. Cancellation, No-Show, and Tardiness Policy

These strict scheduling boundaries exist to show respect for our global guides and participants who continuously coordinate across multiple time zones.

  • Cancellations & Rescheduling: Changes or cancellations must be completed at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled session start time. Cancellations made within the 24-hour window are entirely non-refundable.

  • Late Attendance: If you arrive late, your session will still conclude precisely at the originally scheduled time. Your conversation window will simply be shortened by the duration of your delay, and no partial refunds will be issued.

  • No-Shows: If you fail to join the session within fifteen (15) minutes of the start time without prior written notice, it will be automatically logged as a "No-Show." The session will be canceled, and the fee will be 100% forfeited (strictly non-refundable).
